Noemi Aguila-Marquez, LCSW, IMH-IVC, PhD Candidate has been working with families for almost 25 years, providing psychotherapy for 19 years and providing clinical supervision for almost 10 years. She was one of the first 20 persons in Florida to be endorsed as an Infant Mental Health Clinical Mentor. She is the Clinical Director for Counsel & Connect, Inc. and SF Health Collaborative; the Miami-Chapter Chair and statewide trainer for the Florida Association for Infant Mental Health (FAIMH); an Adjunct Instructor with Barry University and the Yes Institute; and a Consultant with the University of Miami, Miami Dade County Public Schools, and more.
Mrs. Aguila-Márquez recently participated in the award-winning International Task Force to Ensure Equity in Reflective Supervision/ Consultation by the Alliance for Infant Mental Health and was the Keynote Speaker for the Florida Association of the Education of Young Children (FLAEYC) Summer Summits 2020. She partners with Taking on United Childhood Challenges Harmoniously (TOUCCH), the Urban Partnership of Miami Dade County Coalition (UPMDCC), Miami Coalition for Queer Youth, the HOMEY Collective, Equality Florida, and PFLAG among others. Mrs. Aguila-Marquez has won various awards including the 2022 Betty Tableman Award, Barry University’s Field Educator of the Year 2022, FAIMH’s 2021 Answering the Call Award, the 2019 Miami Counseling Award, 2019 Doctoral Research Fellowship Award from the Center for Human Rights & Social Justice, and the Kolasa Community Leadership Scholarship 2019.
Mrs. Aguila-Marquez has dedicated the last 9 years to advocating for children ages 0-5, intersectional identities/ experiences, and persons with diverse gender experiences by passing on her knowledge and expertise through professional education across the state and professional mentorship. Through mentorship, she supports and shares her expertise with student interns, early childhood professionals, and clinicians. Mrs. Aguila-Marquez offers qualified clinical supervision (SW) and reflective supervision/consultation for endorsement and addressing bias, intersectionality, and vicarious stress throughout her practice.
